arrestredcentered 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (6/30/14) — Sunday, June 29 at approximately 3 a.m. the Muhlenberg County Sheriff Department received a report of a suspicious person near the 8000 block of highway 62 west in Graham.

Deputy Josh Toomey located a male suspect in a garage near a residence and after speaking with the suspect Deputy Toomey identified him as Jacob Asher from Dawson Springs Ky.

Asher appeared to be under the influence and told the Deputy he had been consuming alcohol and using marijuana. The suspect had several scratches and cuts on his hands, he also had several Vacation Bible School pins in his possession. Deputy Toomey then checked Unity Missionary Baptist and discovered a broken window in the church and several garbage bags containing audio video equipment and a cart with a flat screen TV placed in the wood line near the church.

Jacob Asher was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, public intoxication controlled substance, burglary third degree, criminal mischief third degree, and theft by unlawful taking over $500.

Deputy Toomey was assisted in this investigation by Gayle Stewart from the Greenville Police Department.
