firework ordinanceHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (6/28/14) — The Hopkinsville Police Department would like to remind citizens, that plan on using fireworks this 4th of July, about Hopkinsville City Ordinance 25-2011.

The Ordinance states; Fireworks may only be ignited between the dates of July 1 and July 5, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Fireworks used by individuals under age eighteen must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Ignition within two hundred feet of any structure, vehicle or any other person and igniting or discharging from a motor vehicle or on any property of another without the consent of the property owner is prohibited.
