City Sanitation Route Suspended Due to Weather

Madisonville Sanitation Dept 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/6/13) — The Madisonville Sanitation Department has suspended garbage collection for the remainder of Friday, Dec. 6 due to inclement weather.

Department crews have made attempts to finish the route but road conditions have progressively gotten worse putting city employees and other in harm's way, according to City Clerk Leslie Curneal.

The department plans to complete its routes as soon as conditions are more favorable.

“We apologize for any inconvenience,” said Curneal in a press release.
