UPDATE - Hopkins County Traffic Advisory

road closed blue 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/2/14) — This closure on Kentucky 281 at mile point 6.2 in Hopkins County originally scheduled for Wednesday has been moved to Thursday.

ORIGINAL

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky, (7/1/14) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close Kentucky 281 in Hopkins County Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

This closure at Kentucky 281/Island Ford Road mile point 6.2 is to allow a cross drain to be replaced. This is along Kentucky 281just north of the McElvain Road/Fate Lutz Road Intersection between Kentucky 260 and Kentucky 1033.

The Hopkins County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to close Kentucky 281 about 7 a.m., CDT, Wednesday. The roadway is expected to reopen around 4 p.m.

There will be no marked detour. About 200 vehicles travel this section of Kentucky 281 in an average day.
