Owensboro Symphony Season Tickets Now on Sale

oso 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/3/13) – The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra 2013-2014 season promises exceptional variety and new experiences for ticket holders, beginning with one of the most popular and dazzling artists of our time, Trumpeter Allen Vizzutti. This exciting season includes La Boheme, with the Kentucky opera, KWC Singers and the Sutton Elementary Chorus, Holiday Pops featuring Ben Utecht, former Indianapolis Colts and local choruses, A Civil War Commemoration featuring the Kentucky premiere of “Two Brothers,” a historic piece reflecting civil war times, a celebration of Motown at the new Owensboro Convention Center and closing out the season Owensboro’s own, Aaron Kizer creating his unique art to classical music.
 
Opening night is Sept. 21 with the symphony performance beginning at 7:30. A special opening night reception for season ticket holders will be held after the concert. (There are many benefits to being an OSO Subscriber, such as, private events, extra savings on single tickets, and priority seating.)
 
First time season ticket subscribers are offered 50 percent off the entire season package valid through September 21. A special “Kentucky Proud” welcome reception for first time subscribers will be on Friday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra Academy, located at 211 East Second St. During the reception attendees will experience the OSO from the inside out by getting a sneak peek of the first rehearsal, and meeting the musicians and the maestro!
