Daviess County Traffic Advisory

lane restriction 300DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (6/12/14) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane on US 431 in Daviess County starting Saturday, June 14, 2014.

US 431 will be restricted to one lane at mile point 9.05 to allow deck rehabilitation work on the Panther Creek Bridge. This is along US 431 between West Pettit Road and Martin Luther King, Jr. Loop at the south edge of Owensboro.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane with alternating flow controlled by an automated traffic signal. Due to traffic volume in this area, some delays are possible during peak travel periods.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and stopped traffic as they approach this work zone. Appropriate caution is required. This work zone will be active at night.

Approximately 10,000 vehicles travel this section of US 431 in an average day.

Construction is expected to take about 14 days to complete, weather permitting.
