Zuberer has some big shoes to fill in the Owensboro Catholic lineup.

Leading rusher Jonathan Garner (812 yards, eight touchdowns) is back for the Aces.

Running back Holden Staples is expected to help to pace the Aces on the ground.

Defensively, Owensboro Catholic returns linebacker Devereaux Reed, one of the state's top defensive players.

Murray ended Owensboro Catholic's season in 2013, defeating the Aces 30-27 in the second round of the Class 2A Russell Athletic/KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl.

After compiling an 8-2 regular-season record, John Edge-coached Owensboro Catholic dismantled Crittenden County 50-7 in the opening round of the Class 2A State Playoffs.
