smaller UPDATE: GRAHAM, Ky. (3/20/14) ―A Hardin County woman has been identified as the motorist that died adjacent to the Western Kentucky Parkway Thursday afternoon.

According to Kentucky State Police spokesman Trooper Stu Recke, Trooper Jerry Knight stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked in the westbound, emergency lane between the 45 and 46 mile marker on the WKP at about 2:27 p.m. He found that no one was in the vehicle.

Trooper Knight noticed a dog on the embankment near the parkway and investigated. Upon reaching the top of the embankment, he discovered a female lying on the ground.

Muhlenberg County Coroner Tony Armour pronounced the victim, Kimberly R. Snodgrass, 44, of Vine Grove, dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorow at the state Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville.

At the present time, authorities do not suspect foul play. The investigation is continuing by KSP Det. Lonnie Kavanaugh.
