accident injuries amb 300PADUCAH, Ky. (9/16/13) – On September 14, 2013, at approximately 10:15 a.m., McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle collision at 5131 Nace Lane, near Olivet Church Road. At the time of the collision an auction was occurring and there was a large crowd at the event.

Investigation showed that Tina Tripp, 35, of Paducah, was at the auction on Nace Ln. with her husband Michael and 3 children, helping cook at the event. Mrs. Tripp got into her vehicle, a 2013 Buick Enclave, and was backing out of the driveway at 5131 Nace Ln. When Mrs. Tripp’s vehicle began to back up, her 2-year-old child, Daniel Tripp, became trapped underneath her front tire while she reversed the vehicle.

Mrs. Tripp was taken to Lourdes for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Daniel was airlifted to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Mercy EMS, Concord Fire department and Hendron Fire Department.
