Body Found in Ohio River

breaking news body foundSMITHLAND, Ky. (10/2/13) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a death in northern Livingston County near Berry’s Ferry Landing on the Ohio River.
 
At approximately 10:12 a.m. KSP received a call of a body in the river near the bank. The body was later identified as, William A. Quertermous, 79 of Paducah, KY. Quertermous was pronounced dead on the scene by Livingston County Deputy Coroner.
 
The initial investigation reveals that Quertermous slipped and fell into the water. No foul play is suspected at this time.
 
Detective John Sims is continuing the investigation. Detective Sims was assisted on the scene by the Livingston County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
