ribboncutting oboro surfky

OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/4/13) – The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce last week hosted a ribbon cutting event for SurfKY News at the Chamber office downtown.

The event, held in recognition of SurfKy’s recent decision to open a “Region 3” news bureau in Owensboro, offered company President Ron Sanders and Region 3 News Director Dennis Beard the opportunity to share with the Chamber the success the company has achieved this year, due to the support of its readers and advertisers, and to thank the local Chamber for its support of SurfKY’s decision to expand into Owensboro.

Currently, SurfKY News has approximately 100,000 active viewers on its website, a number that has been steadily growing since the beginning of the year.

SurfKY News’ Region 3 office is located in the Midtown Building on Frederica Street. Region 3 serves Daviess, Henderson, Hancock, McLean, and Ohio counties.

Special thanks to the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s President Amy Jackson and Membership Director Missy Gant and the rest of the Chamber staff for hosting the ribbon cutting event.
