Meth Arrest in on J. H. Mitchell Road in Central City

arrest fryarMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (4/30/13) – On Monday afternoon, officers from the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department and the Central City Police Department went to 210 J. H. Mitchell Road in Central City to investigate possible drug activity.
 
Sheriff Curtis McGehee, Special Deputy Billy Holland, Sheriff Detective Troy Gibson (assigned to Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force) and Central City Officers; Detective Steve Casey and Chris Flener went to the residence and found a large sum of cash as well as illegal drugs and guns.
 
Jason A. Fryar of 1923 Frostberg Road, Anton was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (meth) and possession of marijuana. Fryar’s charge will be enhanced as a result of having a handgun in his possession.
 
Officers seized drugs, handguns and over $5000.00 in cash, as well as Fryar’s 2007 Chevy Malibu.
 
Fryar was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
 
Officials have stated that others charges could be forthcoming as a result of the ongoing investigation.
