Powderly Man Arrested for Threatening Officers

General Arrest 06 redblue 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (9/30/13) – A Powderly resident has been reportedly arrested on charges of threatening law enforcement officials.
 
According to local law enforcement officials, Joseph D. Lee, of 109 Cross Street in Powderly, was arrested by Deputy Josh Toomey on Monday morning, Sept. 30, 2013, for Terroristic Threatening (3rd Degree).
 
The charge came as a result of a warrant secured by Muhlenberg County Sheriff Detective Troy Gibson (assigned to PNTF). During an investigation Gibson found evidence that showed Lee had threatened to kill Sheriff Curtis McGehee and another officer, whose name has not presently been disclosed.
 
Lee was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
