Browder Man Leaves Scene after Alleged Car Sideswiping

accident glass 300POWDERLY, Ky. (5/13/14) — A Browder man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly sideswiped another vehicle 8:29 a.m. Monday, May 13 on Cleaton Road.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Brandon Wynn, 27, Browder, was driving a 2001 Mercury Sable west on Cleaton Road while Willie Parker, 69, was driving a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria east on Cleaton Road. As the vehicles approached each other, Wynn's vehicle crossed into the path of Parker's vehicle sideswiping it. Wynn then continued headed west, the report said.

Wynn was located in the Todd's Furniture parking lot and arrested by Trooper Jerry Knight. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid, a Class D felony and failure to notify DOT of address change.

Wynn was lodged in the Muhlenberg Detention Center.

Parker was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Trooper Craig Engler, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Powderly Police Department, the Greenville Police Department, the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg EMS assisted.
