Blue Collar Comments – The Tech Center

bluecc300 CHOPKINS COUNTY, KY (7/25/13) – The Tech Center took 4.5-5 million dollars to build, to get to the point it is at currently.

The center is currently falling in. The solution? They are walking away and going to try and sell the land and the building. Now they are starting all over again to build another 5 million dollar Tech Center.

When the Engineering Firm drilled the ground at the current location, they went only 35 feet down. Red flags should have come up at that time. The land has been undermined and stripped.

We have the Sports Complex right next to the Tech Center. The Sports Complex people are asking to build an archery building, 80 X 150 feet. This building will cast $203,000.

I would like to send this question out to our local citizens that are putting forth the tax dollars to support all this; will this building fall in like the Tech Center?
