lane closures green 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/10/13) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 334/River Road in Hancock County and Daviess County on April 23 and 24.

This planned closure on KY 334 is to allow the replacement of several cross drains in western Hancock County.

KY 334 will be closed each day from 8 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m. between mile point 1.52 at North Chestnut Grove Road in Daviess County and mile point 3.916 at Knox Lane in Hancock County.

Motorists who regularly travel this section of KY 334/River Road in Daviess and Hancock Counties should make alternate travel plans for April 23 and 24. Local access will be maintained for local property owners and emergency vehicles.

About 750 vehicles travel this section of KY 334/River Road in an average day.

This tentative work schedule is subject to change due to weather and other adverse conditions.
