Owensboro Police Department Earns State Accreditation

oboro police 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/26/13) – The Owensboro Police Department is pleased to announce that we have received our fourth accreditation certification from the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police. This certification is valid for a period of five years, and is confirmation of the department’s commitment to providing quality service to our community.
 
This latest certification was granted by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Accreditation Program on April 18. The accreditation process is designed to set standards for the department to follow as we strive to meet our mission statement:
 
To work in a true partnership with our community, to enhance the quality of life in our city, while maintaining order and protecting the people we serve by reducing incidences of crime, doing so with professionalism, honor, and integrity.
 
With this accreditation in place, the Owensboro Police Department has set a benchmark to allow its members to strive for excellence, and the attainment of our mission.
