Rose Competes Tonight In America's Got Talent Season Finale

america talent 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/17/13) - Kentucky native Jimmy Rose will be competing tonight for $1 million and the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas. Rose has been voted through each week by both the show's judges and voters since the debut performance of his original song, "Coal Keeps The Lights On."

After advancing in the competition last week, Rose claims he has been preparing this week to perform two songs tonight.

"I want to give 110 percent in tonight's performances," Rose said. "I have been preparing mentally, staying focused and trying to relax."

Rose told SurfKY News he could not have made it this far in the competition without the support of his fans. He wants to encourage them to pursue their dreams as well.

"The fans have made me who I am and I will never forget about them," Rose said. "It doesn't matter where you come from or how you were raised, all that matters is how bad you want it."

Rose wants nothing more than to win this season of America's Got Talent. But regardless of the results, the Marine veteran and former coal miner said he is thankful for this opportunity and is proud to represent Kentucky.

The "Top 6" acts will perform tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC. The "Season 8" winner will be announced during the results show airing tomorrow night.
