scrub shoppe 500

OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/1/13) - With selections by name brands such as Grey’s Anatomy , Cherokee Workwear, KOI, NRG, Wink, and Dickies, The Scrub Shoppe has had the largest selection of scrubs in town since its debut on Yale Place in 2009.

The store offers clothes in sizes XXS to 5 XL, petites and tall, men and women’s scrub wear. Not only do they have scrubs, they also sell shoes, Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts, monogrammed gifts, and compression socks for Diabetes patients.

The Scrub Shoppe, owned by Kandi Stephens serves customers from Owensboro, Henderson, Greenville, Central City, and other surrounding areas. Stephens was never in the medical field, but she says that isn’t what her store is about.

“It’s more about working for yourself as a small business owner,” Stephens said.

The store recently joined the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, and celebrated its membership with a ribbon cutting ceremony last week.

The Scrub Shoppe is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can visit their Facebook Page here.
