About the LSU Tiger Golf Classic

This marks the fourth consecutive year Kentucky will participate in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. At last year’s event, the Wildcats placed eighth, while former Wildcat Ashleigh Albrecht was the top UK finisher, tying for seventh. Eighteen holes will be played Friday through Sunday, with fixed tee times on hole No. 1 and No. 10 starting 9:30 a.m. ET each day. The final round Sunday will begin with a shotgun start 9:30 a.m. The University Club will feature a par-72, 6,215-yard setup.

The field

Joining the Wildcats in Baton Rouge are No. 4 Arkansas, No. 16 Central Florida, No. 17 LSU, Baylor, Denver, Louisiana-Monroe, Missouri, Notre Dame, Purdue, SMU, TCU, Tulane, UNCW and UTSA.

Coach Borst quotables

“I always enjoy coming back to Baton Rouge and I am looking forward to us competing here this weekend,” said Kentucky head coach Golda Johansson Borst. “Because of spring break we have been able to practice and play a lot down here and I think that's been really good for the team. The golf course is in good shape and the girls are getting more and more comfortable on these greens. This is a placement golf course (both off the tee and around the greens) and I believe we learned a lot in Hilton Head that we can use to our advantage here. Overall I know the girls are ready to get back to competing this weekend.”
