Baptist staff will provide blood pressure screenings and Early Heart Attack Care throughout the day. Participants will be “deputized” after learning to recognize heart attack symptoms.
Outreach director Patrick Withrow, MD, will discuss heart disease in the mall center at 3:30 p.m., followed by dietitian Ruth Goodman and student dietitian Katrina Horgan demonstrating healthy recipes at 4:30.
Monitoring risk factors, such as blood pressure and cholesterol, is important in the prevention of heart disease, which remains the nation’s leading killer of men and women.
