Some congestion can be expected in the downtown area beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, August 1, for Central Bank Thursday Night Live at the Fifth-Third Pavilion at Cheapside Park.
The Division of Engineering issued grading permits during the period July 29-25 for the following addresses: 1977 Falling Leaves Lane, 3224 Orchard Grass Road, 4689 Windstar Way, 1953 General Warfield Way, 2512 Carducci Street, 1805 Browning Trace, and 1973 Falling Leaves Lane. Permits are issued for six months and can include some blasting.
SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT
DeRoode Street will be CLOSED between Versailles Road and McKinley Street 24 hours a day through December 31, for work on the Newtown Pike extension project. Motorists can access the neighborhood from Merino Street to McKinley Street to Byars Alley.
Grimes Mill Road will be CLOSED at McCalls Mill Road on the Clark County line 24 hours a day through Tuesday, December 31, for demolition and construction of a new bridge.
The street and sidewalk of Lexington Avenue will be blocked between the Avenue of Champions and East Maxwell Street through Monday, August 5, for sewer work.
Plunkett Street will be CLOSED between Pine Street and Bolivar Street from Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, for utility work.
West Vine Street will be closed one lane at a time between West Main Street and South Broadway on Sunday, July 28, to clean the Lexington Center overhead pedway windows.
MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT
One lane of Brynell Drive will be blocked as needed at Silverleaf Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, August 1, for sewer work.
The left lane of East High Street will be blocked between Woodland Avenue and Ransom Avenue from Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31, for pavement repair.
The westbound lane of East Third Street will be blocked at Race Street from Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31, for pavement repair.
The outbound bicycle lane of Euclid Avenue will be blocked between Kentucky Avenue and Marquis Avenue through Wednesday, July 31, for utility work.
The outbound turn lane of Leestown Road will be blocked at Trade Street through Wednesday, July 31, for utility work.
One lane of Maryland Avenue will be blocked between Jefferson Street and Newtown Pike on Monday, July 29, for utility work.
A portion of Oldham Avenue will be blocked between Euclid Avenue and East High Street through Friday, August 30, for utility work.
The inbound lane of Parkers Mill Road will be CLOSED between Dedman Lane and Airport Road through Wednesday, July 31, to install cable. Traffic controls will be in place.
One lane of Rose Lane will be blocked at College View Avenue from Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31m for pavement repair.
One lane of Southview Drive will be blocked as needed between Lafayette Parkway and Lone Oak Drive from Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, for storm sewer repairs.
The right turn lane of Trade Street will be blocked as needed at Leestown Road through Wednesday, July 31, for utility work.
One lane of St. Margaret Drive will be blocked at St. Michael Drive, at St. Christopher
Drive and at St. Teresa Drive through Friday, August 16, for waterline repair.
The right lane of West Loudon Avenue will be blocked at North Broadway in front of Thornton’s on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, for sewer work.
A portion of West Short Street will be blocked near 367 West Short Street in the off-street area next to the curb 24 hours a day through Friday, August 23, for construction work.
