Saul Good Restaurant and Pub Expands Franchise to Downtown Lexington

saul good 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (4/23/2013) – Hand-tossed pizzas. Gourmet burgers. A chocolate bar. These are a few of the staples found at Saul Good Restaurant and Pub. The locally owned establishment is adding a downtown spot to their growing franchise.

Saul Good owner Rob Perez sees the expansion as a great business opportunity. “Downtown is about to explode, and we want to be a part of it,” he said. Perez explains, “I love downtown and Saul Good fits into the landscape.”

Saul Good’s downtown site is the first new tenant in what will be the revitalization of Victorian Square. Set to open in October 2013, the restaurant will occupy what is currently Chase Taproom on the corner of Short Street and Broadway.

For those who work downtown, one draw to the new location is the daily specials. Every day of the week, there is a half-price menu special such as half-priced pizzas every Monday and half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays.

This will be the third Saul Good in Lexington. Currently, the local franchise has 2 locations. One is in the Hamburg area, and the other is located near Fayette Mall.

Menu staples include a chicken and waffle entrée and the Parisian Pizza, a thin crust pizza with honey dijon sauce, ham, granny smith apples, and brie. Other favorites include the tri-tini sampler that offers 3 smaller scale martinis of the customer’s choosing. For those who favor beer, Saul Good also offers beer flights with several local brews on draught.
