New Season of Broadway Live at the Opera House to be Announced at Gala Event

live broadway 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (5/4/13)— The new 2013-14 season of Broadway Live will be unveiled on Thursday, May 23rd, 7:30 p.m. at the Opera House during its annual Season Announcement Event.

According to Opera House Program Director Luanne Franklin, “We have a great new slate of shows to announce and several extra incentives to subscribe. Season ticket holders always have the opportunity to purchase the lowest priced tickets and get the best seats and service. They will save between 20% and 50% off regular ticket prices and the season ticket prices are more affordable than ever before – starting at just $168!”

The Announcement Event will feature advance previews of the upcoming national touring shows performed on the Opera House stage by local Lexington talent: Vocalists from Lexington Singers, dancers from Town and Village School of Dance and drama students from SCAPA. Local radio and television personality Deann Stevens of WBUL and WKYT will emcee the event.

After the show, the audience will be invited on stage for a dessert reception sponsored by South Van Catering and Equus Run Winery. Dancing to the music of the Raleigh Daley Trio will complete the evening.

According to Opera House Program Director Luanne A. Franklin, "This event is designed to present the new Broadway Live season to the community in a fun and festive way. We are so honored to the Lexington Arts Community come together to help us kick off the new season in high style!”
