Mayor Jim Gray Kicks Off Re-Election Campaign

jimgray 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (9/25/13) – Mayor Jim Gray kicked off his campaign for re-election Tuesday night with a ribbon cutting at his campaign headquarters at 400 E. Vine St.

With less than four months remaining to file candidacy for mayor, no one has officially stepped up to the plate. Although, there is some speculation that former Lexington police chief Anthany Beatty will challenge Gray in his bid for re-election.

Gray is currently serving his first term as Lexington's mayor after defeating incumbent Jim Newberry in 2010. If Gray succeeds in his bid for re-election, he will be the first Lexington mayor to see a second term in 12 years.
