Because of limited space, children must apply for a spot, and only current fourth-graders are eligible.

While the camp is free, families are expected to provide transportation, with student drop-off beginning 8:30 a.m. and pick up by 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided both days.
Participants will be exposed to challenging curriculum and hands on application where they will work in teams to design and construct a robot. Each robot must perform a series of sequential functions that will be repeated precisely while maneuvering through an obstacle course. The instruction will advance students through the curriculum and labs at a quick pace, so participants need to be present for the entire camp.
The Lexington section of IEEE has partnered with Fayette County Public Schools since the beginning of the Summer Robotics Camp.This professional group of engineers understands the importance of having rising stars in their profession and encourages students to explore the possibilities in this exciting career path.
