Greenville Fire Department Presents Red Hot Summer Downtown

friday bike night 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (5/2/13) – This weekend kicks off a busy summer for downtown Greenville. As Surfky.com reported earlier this week, the postponed Car Show is set for Saturday. But first up, it's Friday Night Bike Night all summer long.

Barry Waltrip, of the Greenville Fire Department says this will be quite a night, and all proceeds go to much replace worn out or needed fire department equipment and other worn out gear.

"Friday night starts up this year's Bike Night. We have a live band called Mason Dixon. And we'll have live music all summer long. The band starts at 6. We also hope to have Bouncing B’s there. Appleton's Harley Davidson from Clarksville, Tennessee is coming up. The car show starts Saturday.

They'll be arriving at 8 a.m. Registration starts at 10, and there's a late charge after 12 p.m. We'll give away several trophies, and all the money goes towards the Greenville Fire Department's needs, which is quite high right now. With the economy down we are really needing to raise funds to help the department overall." Waltrip said.
