65th Annual Dawson Springs Barbeque
Join us for the barbecue lunch at the community center starting at 11 am. The fair begins at 6 pm at the municipal park with fun and games for the entire family. 5th Annual BackPack Run
The 5th annual Motorcylce Club Backpack Run will take place this Saturday July 27, 2013 at 669 A.C. Slaton Road. Registration will begin at 11:00am and Kick Stand will be up until 1:00pm. This backpack run is a 40-50 mile all day event with field events, food, bike show, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and music. Participates also have chance to win a Stag Arms M4 AR-15. Pam's Dance Barn

Tents & Tiaras
The "Tents & Tiaras" fund raiser to fight Alzheimer will be held at the Merle Travis Music Center this Friday, July 26th, starting at 6 pm. It's for girls and boys for all ages, plus there's a silent auction, all types of food and vendors setting up. To find out more call 270-338-5400 and ask for Heather Kelley.

The Second Annual Swingin' For Sadie Coed Softball Tournament        
Starts Friday night at 6:30 at the Dunmor and Weir Ballparks. Saturday action starts at 8 am  and will last all night up to Sunday morning around 3am.  arts on Friday night at 630 at Dunmor and Weir Ballparks. But Saturday it starts at 8 and will last all night up to Sunday morning around 3am.  This tournament is in honor of Sadie Beth Smith, who was killed in a car accident on January 28, 2012. Run for Rachel
There will be a "Run for Rachel" 5K Walk/Run beginning with registration at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Central City Convention Center at 320 Golden Tide Ave., Central City. The first 20 participants to cross the finish line will receive a T-shirt. Medals will be awarded in individual age groups. All proceeds from the event will go to Rachel Pentecost and her family as she recovers from a serious car accident. For more information, contact Lindsay Ward, at the CCCC at (270) 757-1723. National Dance Day Celebration
2013 National Dance Day celebration will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 27 at the Christian County Middle School gymnasium at 210 Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville. There will be two, one-hour master classes taught by world dance professional and Tennessee Titans Cheerleader Jessi Peralta. There will be classes for ages 7 through 11 and for ages 12 and older. The cost is $15 per person. The event is hosted by Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction and the Hopkinsville Division of Parks and Recreation along with Christian County Public Schools.

Pickin' on the Porch: Syd Hedrick Band
July 27TH - Syd Hedrick Band 5-9pm, CST, at MB Roland Distillery: 137 Barkers Mill Road, Pembroke, KY. All events are open and free-of-charge to the public, outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome and we encourage all guests to bring chairs, blankets & shade items. Food vendors will have BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, etc. available for purchase. Children & dogs on leashes are welcome. Please no outside alcoholic beverages or grills/cooking items.
