hend police arrest5 300HENDERSON, Ky. (6/27/13) – Henderson Police reported the following activity for the week of June 23:
 
On Wednesday, June 26, Henderson Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle being located in the 2000 block of North Elm St. Authorities said the vehicle had been reported stolen at the Evansville Police Department in Indiana. The motorcycle was described as a red Yamaha Bombardier. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295 or Crimestoppers at 270-831-1111.
 
On Monday, June 24, at 1:12 p.m., Henderson Police responded to report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of First and Green streets in Henderson. According to Henderson Police, Dacca Stone, 36, Smith Mills, was driving north in the right lane of North Green St. as Rodger Bird, 42, Henderson, was driving east on First St. Authorities said Stone apparently didn’t stop at the red light and struck Bird in the intersection. Stone’s vehicle continued eastbound onto a sidewalk and struck a tree. Stone and all three of her passengers were taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Henderson Police are investigating a reported robbery at a business in the 1600 block of Second St. in Henderson. Authorities alleged that at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24, an unknown suspect entered the local Sears store and took more than $500 in cash. The investigation is continuing. Henderson Police are investigating the reported theft of a .22 caliber pistol from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Tartan Drive in Henderson. Authorities said the alleged theft occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. on June 22 and 5:45 a.m. on June 23. The investigation is continuing. Henderson Police responded to report of a stolen vehicle in the 900 block of Homestead Trail. Authorities said that on June 23, an Evansville, IN, man told them someone entered the house on Homestead Trail, took the key to his car, and then took the car. A man living at the house on Homestead Trail also told authorities more than $500 of items were also taken from his backyard, along with less than $500 worth of items from his vehicle. The stolen car was located on Green River, where it had allegedly been “consumed by fire.” The investigation is continuing.
