hopkinsschool 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (5/7/13) – The Hopkins County Board of Education is moving forward in its quest to appoint a new superintendent for Hopkins County Schools. The screening committee presented a short list of finalists to the board.

The finalists include:
–Rob Clayton Principal, South Oldham Middle School, Crestwood, KY
–Matthew Constant Assistant Superintendent, Owensboro Public Schools, Owensboro, KY
–Rita Cook Superintendent, Middlesboro Independent Public Schools, Middlesboro, KY
–Linda Zellich Deputy Superintendent, Hopkins County Public Schools, Madisonville, KY
 
According to Phil Eason, a consultant with the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) who is assisting the Hopkins County Board in this process, the screening committee was very effective in fulfilling its responsibility to the board.
 
“They were very focused, thorough and purposeful in fulfilling their responsibilities, and as a result, the Board has a strong list of finalists to consider,” Eason said.
 
The Hopkins County Board of Education would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the work of the members of the superintendent screening committee. The members of the screening committee are DeDe Ashby, Steve Patterson, Wanda Nix, Brien Terry, Steve Gilliam and Steve Faulk. Their efforts are vital in the successful search for the next superintendent of Hopkins County Schools.
