First Kentucky Bank Announces Plans for Relay for Life Auction

RELAY LIFE 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (4/11/13) – Muhlenberg County's Relay for Life to help fight cancer is set for Friday May 10th, at the Muhlenberg Agriculture and Convention Center in Powderly. First Kentucky Bank is busy with plans for an auction to help raise funds. Many local businesses have already stepped up with hundreds of dollars in prizes.

Sarah Hill, a loan officer at the bank's Greenville location, is the bank's coordinator for the auction. "We're taking donations of goods and services from local businesses and putting those together in three separate baskets." Hill said. "We'll have a drawing for each basket on the weekend of Mother's Day. Winners will be notified by phone. In order to enter just donate a dollar per entry. Six entries are just 5 dollars."

Hill added she has been overwhelmed by the huge number of donations from many local businesses. And many more are still pouring in. "We are still taking donations, and running that through the week of the relay. We'll announce the winner either May 9th or May 10th."

To find out more, or to donate, stop by First Kentucky Bank, or call 338 1331 and ask for Sarah Hill.
