tractor trailer 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (4/16/13) – On April 15, at approximately 9:39 PM, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an accident involving a tractor trailer on WK Parkway.
 
According to Sheriff’s Department officials, a tractor trailer, belonging to J&B Farming Inc. of Campton, KY, was traveling east on the Western Kentucky Pkwy near the 55 mile marker when the driver exited the roadway, losing control of the vehicle. The tractor and trailer overturned, resulting in the loss of a large amount of lumber. All four lanes were closed for approximately six hours while The State Highway Department and Towing Company worked to clear the parkway.
 
The driver, William G. Pope of Laurel County, was life-flighted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
 
Muhlenberg County Deputy Sgt. Terry Vick is investigating the accident.
 
Vick was assisted by CVE, KSP, Deputy Pat Putnam, Central City Police, Muhlenberg County Ambulance Service, PHI, Fire Departments from Central City, Greenville and Graham.
