MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (9/20/13) – On Friday, Sept. 20, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies and First Responders were dispatched to 55 Goodview Road in Central City.
 
The caller advised dispatchers that 13 year old Larry Capps may have fallen out of a boat at a nearby pond. The caller explained to first responders that he had gone outside and had found the boat empty but Capp’s ball cap and boots were located in the water.
 
At 10:49 a.m. The Muhlenberg County Dive Team recovered Capp’s body.
 
The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, The Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office, Bremen Fire Department, Central City Fire Department, Emergency Management, Muhlenberg County Ambulance Service and The Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife all assisted at the scene.

BREMEN, Ky. (9/20/13) – Muhlenberg County Sheriff Curtis McGehee has stated that the body of the missing teen has been located.

According to the Sheriff, the body of the male teen was found in the nearby lake where the boy stated he was going fishing earlier this morning. An empty boat was also located in the lake. Sheriff McGehee stated that nothing suspicious is suspected at this time.

Sheriff McGehee also stated that the Coroner’s Office is investigating.
