Historical Society Elects 2014 Officers

hist soc1 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/20/13) — The Historical Society of Hopkins County elected new officers for the coming year during its Nov. 14 meeting.

Newly-elected officers are Richard Cunningham, president; Randy Teague, vice president and program chairman; Gina Munger, secretary; Margie Bowman, treasurer; Jimmy Harris, Joe Melton and Leif Ratliff, board members; D.W. Dockrey and Bob Adkins, board members emeritus.

Carl Veazey is the Hopkins County Historian, which is a Hopkins County Fiscal Court appointment and does not require election.

Officers will be installed at the Dec. 12 joint meeting with the Genealogical Society of Hopkins County at 5 p.m. At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2355 N. Main St., Madisonville. The evening also includes a potluck supper and a guest speaker.
