Paving Work Along Ky. Hwy. 81 Starts Today

asphalt2 kytrans 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (5/14/13) – A contractor for Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans asphalt paving work along Ky. Hwy 81 in southern Daviess County starting today.

This asphalt paving along Ky. 81/Owensboro-Calhoun Road runs from the Panther Creek Bridge at mile point 5.291 to Old Calhoun Road at mile point 10.638, a distance of 5.35 miles.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers during daylight hours. Appropriate caution is required.

Yager Materials is the prime contractor on this $563,783 highway improvement project. Work on this section of Ky. 81 is expected to take about 2 to 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
