Ky. Hwy. 425 Bypass to be Closed for Road Work Starting Saturday

road closed blue 300HENDERSON, Ky. (5/3/13) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close the Ky. Hwy. 425 Henderson Bypass for the first of several rounds of concrete pavement repair starting Saturday, May 4.

This initial closure of the Ky. Hwy. 425 Henderson Bypass runs from mile point 2.429 at the intersection with U.S. 41-Alternate to mile point 4.474 at the intersection with U.S. 41. This section of the Ky. 425 Henderson Bypass is expected to remain closed until about May 15.

Local access will be maintained along the work zone for businesses and property owners along this section.

A marked detour will be provided. However, many of the 9,000 vehicles that normally travel this section of the KY 425 Henderson Bypass each day will likely travel through Henderson on US 60/Green Street.

Once work is complete on this section, the contractor will schedule two additional closures for concrete pavement repairs on the sections between U.S. 60 and U.S. 41-Alternate, as well as the section from U.S. 41 to the Pennyrile Parkway.

JBI is the prime contractor on this $780,521 highway improvement project.
