hend police arrest1 300HENDERSON, Ky. (6/7/13) - Henderson Police reported the following activity:

On June 5 at 7:49 p.m., Henderson EMS, Fire, and Police responded to report of an accident with injuries in the 1900 block of U.S. 41 North. According to authorities, Daniel Hobbs, 31, Waverly, was driving south on U.S. 41 as Joseph Thomas, 31, Henderson, apparently turned from a public parking lot in front of Hobbs. The two collided. Thomas was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of non-threatening injuries, police said. Hobbs wasn’t hurt.

A Henderson woman contacted police regarding damage to her vehicle totaling more than $1,000. Authorities said the incident in the 2300 block of Adams Lane is believed to have occurred between 10 p.m. on June 5 and 7:50 a.m. on June 6. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295 or Crimestoppers at 270-831-1111.

On June 2 at 6:27 p.m., Henderson Police responded to the 700 block of Short 7th St. regarding an accident with injuries. Authorities said Leron Dillard, 32, Owensboro, was driving a motorcycle east as Lyberty Steinmetz, 12, was riding her bicycle along the same route. The two apparently collided when the bicycle’s handlebar hit the back of the motorcycle. Steinmetz was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of injuries.
