God’s Great Outdoor Adventures - Enjoy a Day in the Outdoors

KENTUCKY (4/17/13) – Hello again folks! I hope you are having a blessed day! God has blessed us with some beautiful weather. You know, folks, we are never satisfied. We always complain about the weather. It is too hot or too cold. God has blessed us with many beautiful days and let us enjoy them in the outdoors.

You may not enjoy the sport of hunting or fishing, but there are so many other things to do in the outdoors. Some folks enjoy a peaceful walk through the outdoors to take in the fresh air and the beauty in which God has given to us all to enjoy. Others enjoy biking down old country roads or mountain biking up through trails.

Did you know that there are a few waterfalls in our area, if you just get off the beaten path. I know of two. One is on private property while the other is on a wildlife management area.

Some folks enjoy wildlife photography and videography. These folks get the same thrill out of the perfect wildlife photo as I do when I harvest that big old Tom.

There is no better way to introduce a child to the outdoors than taking a stroll off the beaten path and talking to them about tree and plant identification. Make up a survival game for them to enjoy.

God has given us this wonderful world to live in so just enjoy it. So get out there, folks. Stop complaining and enjoy life to the fullest in God's Great Outdoors.

Sportsmen for Christ is sending up prayers for the victims and their families of the Boston Marathon incident! We are also praying for our World to come together as one unity of the Body of Christ!
