CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (4/18/13) – Wood’s Bait Shop and Café Owner Brad Wood, located at 601 Welborn Street in Central City, knows the secret to successful fishing. Wood says his new line of coastal ball bearing swivel products are like nothing he's ever seen. These products are pretty much the super-popular Alabama Riggs, utilized by anglers across the nation and around the globe, but tweaked to be far more effective for local fishermen.

"It has a ring on it that brings it back down to the form it had originally. It's just a great feature to have on it,” said Wood. “Jeremy Teague, a local minister, designed it. He really does a super job on these. They're all handmade and great craftsmanship goes into them. Like I said, it's a fisherman that made them. I think that's what really makes them so special. It wasn't just someone trying to make a buck. Jeremy is a fisherman and he designed them for fishermen. You could tell on the other ones we sold, they just were not near the quality, and they had a way higher price than these. Better quality, cheaper price. And the fish love it." Wood said.

So has Wood had a first-hand chance to try these out yet?
 
"Yes, I tried out the one for crappie. It is just phenomenal." Wood said.
 
Wood also likes the new P-Line Super Baits for Alabama rigs. A new line of Crappie jigs. They’re called "Teaser Tails".
 
Wood's Bait Shop's new hours are 6am to 5om weekdays 6am to 6pm weekends. Closed at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
 
"Once we get more into the fishing season we'll open at 5 am." Wood added.
