Ky-Expo-Ctr-LouisvilleKentucky Exposition Center (Screenshot via kyexpo)LOUISVILLE, Ky. (4/24/14) — The Kentucky State Fair Board approved two parking changes related to seasonal parking permits and bus parking rates, both of which go into effect May 1.

For $75, the new seasonal parking permit will allow for unlimited parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center from May 24 through Sept 30, coinciding with the Kentucky Kingdom season. (Permits are not valid August 14 – 24 during the Kentucky State Fair.) The permits are meant to alleviate congestion at the gates and be an added value to frequent visitors.

“We believe there will be a need for a seasonal parking permit for patrons, especially during Kentucky Kingdom’s inaugural summer. This permit allows easier access and should be especially beneficial for Kentucky Kingdom season ticket holders,” said Kentucky State Fair Board President and CEO Rip Rippetoe.

The board also approved a rate increase for bus parking from $8 to $20 per vehicle, allowing in-and-out access within the same day for buses.

Seasonal parking permits can be purchased at the ticket offices at both the Kentucky Exposition Center and Kentucky International Convention Center beginning May 1. Download forms at http://www.kyexpo.org/parking-directions.html.
