CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (8/8/13) – On Wednesday, August 7, officers charged Michael W. Nelson, of 2495 Ridge Road in Central City, with Cultivating Marijuana, 5 plants or more, a Class D Felony.
According to Sheriff’s Office officials, Nelson was also charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Officers went to the residence and, while conducting a knock and talk investigation, were able to determine that Nelson had marijuana plants and other suspected paraphernalia used for growing marijuana. Nelson was arrested at the scene.
Muhlenberg County Sheriff Detective Troy Gibson (assigned to Pennyrile Narcotic Task Force) led in the investigation. Gibson was assisted by Sheriff Curtis McGehee, Detective Wade Griggs, Deputy B.W. Dearmond and Special Deputy Clint Jackson.
