republican elephant 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/22/14) — Carol Ligon has been appointed as the 2014 Chairwoman of the Hopkins County Republican Party.

“Carol has managed numerous campaigns and has been an active leader in our party for over 40 years,” said Steve Robertson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Kentucky.

Tommy Richardson has accepted the roll of vice chairman, Lynette Lewis is the Secretary and Leigh Ann Jackson will serve as the Treasurer.

“It is an exciting year for our local party and I invite conservatives from all corners of Hopkins County to join us in electing our outstanding candidates,” said Ligon.

The GOP headquarters will be located at 445 North Main Street and will host a grand Opening on Wednesday, Aug. 13, with a joint visit from U.S. senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.
