owensboro-events 01OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/21/14) — The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce will launch a new networking event called "The Lunch Bunch," Friday, April 25.

The inaugural event will be held at Studio Slant, located at 412 East Second Street from 11:30 to 1 p.m.

“A primary role of the chamber to many of our members is networking – building business connections. We are excited to provide a new, structured but flexible format for our members,” said Amy Jackson, chamber President and CEO. “It is our goal to create memorable and meaningful connections between members, so that we can assist each other in business growth.”

The Lunch Bunch program will consist of:

  • 11:30 -11:50 p.m. – social brown bag lunch

  • 11:50-12:50 p.m. – organized, high-paced networking event

  • 12:50 – 1 p.m. – prizes and closing

The event is free to attend, and open to all Chamber members and their employees. No reservations are required. The event will be held on the fourth Friday of each month, at chamber member businesses throughout the Greater Owensboro region. The May Lunch Bunch will be held at Captured Moments Photography May 23.

Founded in 1913, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has worked for a century to provide valuable benefits and services to member business and individuals. Today, with a membership base of more than 900, the Chamber is a critical partner in community and business development initiatives, serving as the center of business advocacy for the Greater Owensboro region.
