OWENSBORO, Ky. (8/29/13) – An Owensboro man has been charged and a second unidentified man is being sought in connection with an alleged methamphetamine lab authorities said they discovered in Fordsville Wednesday around 5:15 p.m.
According to Kentucky State Police, KSP troopers and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department were investigating a report that a fugitive was living in an abandoned residential trailer on Smith Street in Fordsville. As the officers approached, two men allegedly fled the residence on foot into the nearby woods. A search of the property turned up evidence that it was being used as a place to manufacture methamphetamine, police claimed.
Authorities said one of the men was identified as Kelly Davis of Owensboro. He was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree fleeing and evading.
The search for the second suspect is continuing.
