McLean County Middle Among Top Ten State-Recognized Schools

ky dept ed2 300MCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (9/30/13) – McLean County Middle School was one of ten public schools recognized for “the teaching conditions, school safety, and student achievement” as part of a Kentucky TELL survey, the Kentucky Department of Education announced today.

TELL, which stands for Teaching, Educating, Reading, and Learning, was administered to all public school teachers and principals last spring, officials said. Those awarded the distinction were recognized at a Continuous Improvement Summit in Louisville.

Each school chosen went through a four-phase process in which the survey team reviewed survey responses, test scores, and other criteria to narrow the list to 50 “honorable mentions,” from which the finalists were selected.
