WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (3/20/13) - Former Webster County High School standout Lynette Harris helped lead Shorter College to a sixth-place finish in the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I Basketball Championship held last weekend in Winona Lake, IN.
Shorter (18-13) won the South Regional to qualify for the National Quarterfinals last Wednesday.
A powerful Southern Nazarene squad took care of the Lady Hawks 79-49 but Harris and her squad rebounded on Friday with a 73-52 win over Roberts Wesleyan. Harris had two points, two rebounds and one steal in 11 minutes of action. In the fifth-place game Shorter fell to Cedarville 64-56. Harris, a junior center, finished the game with seven points, two rebounds, one steal and one assist.
