KY ART COUNCIL3 300FRANKFORT, Ky. (1/11/13) – Kentucky nonprofit arts organizations that provide year-round arts programming may apply to the Kentucky Arts Council for Kentucky Arts Partnership grant funding by Jan. 15. Grants to qualified organizations will support operating costs for the period between July 1, 2013, and June 30, 2014.

“Operational support to the state’s arts organizations provides economic and education benefits to Kentuckians across the state,” said Lori Meadows, arts council executive director. “For fiscal year 2013, more than 100 organizations received funding through this grant, which is made possible by funding the arts council receives from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kentucky General Assembly.”

Grant awards are based on the amount of funds available to the Kentucky Arts Council, the number of applicants, applicants’ scores as determined by an independent review panel based on prescribed performance expectations, and the organization’s operating revenue.

Details and applications for the Kentucky Arts Partnership grant can be found at http://artscouncil.ky.gov/Grants/KAP.htm.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
