Hometown(Photo by Amber Averitt SurfKY News)MADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/20/14) — Locally owned and operated, Home Town Finance first opened its door March of 2000 and lives by their motto, “Come Grow With Us.”

“The name itself tells all about the business,” said owner Jerry Pyle. “Here at Home Town we try to treat our customers like an independent company would. We have great relationships with our customers.”

Pyle said that everyone in the office came from a larger company and decided to venture out to start Home Town Finance.

“The people you see here have some sort of ownership in this business,” said Pyle. “Everyone in here has a lot of experience in the financial business, too. Lisa has 28 years, Missy has 20 years, my son, Justin, has three years and I have 26 years.”

Pyle said loans can range from $500 to $10,000 for various needs.

The philosophy is to treat customers who come in more like real people and not just an account number, he said.

“We are hometown type of people,” said Pyle. “That’s how we are going to treat you, like a person. Our customers can back us up on that. We are more than just a finance company, we are supporting our local people, but with better service.”

Home Town Finance is located on 1350 S. Main St. and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We ask that people call or come in to fill out applications,” said Pyle. “We offer the same services as everyone else, except we try to give better family type service.”
