WEBSTER COUNTY, KY (10/31/12) – The following is your weekly update of events and activities in the Webster County area.
Dixon Trunk or Treat Moved
The "Trunk or Treat," sponsored by the churches of Dixon, has been moved to Dixon Community Center due to potential bad weather. The event will start at 5 p.m. and is open to everyone. Anyone who was planning to decorate a car is asked to come and decorate a table. For more information call 635-1244 or 639-9115.
Fall Revival
New Hopewell Baptist Church in Clay will have revival services Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. Services will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Bro. Bobby Cotton will be preaching. Everyone is invited to attend.
Masons To Meet
Providence Lodge #148 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. A potluck dinner will be served at 6 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
DAR to Meet
The Lt. Robert Howson Hooe Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence. All members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.
Anniversary Celebration
Dominion Christian Center will celebrate Pastor W. R. Hopson and Co-Pastor Elder JoAnn Hopson's 29th year anniversary, Sunday, Nov. 4. Elder Tempe Hopson will deliver the 11 a.m. message and Minister Connie Hall will deliver the 3 p.m. message. Everyone is invited to attend.
Democrat Women to Meet
The Webster County Democratic Women's Club will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at La Casa's in Providence. All members are encouraged to attend. Drawing for U.K. tickets and basket will be held at this time.
Anniversary Celebration
The Father's House will be celebrating their 2 year anniversary at 6 p.m. Nov. 9-10. The Rev. Larry Jamison will be the speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.
SBDM Meeting Changed
The Clay Elementary SBDM Council meeting scheduled for November 27th has been rescheduled to November 13th at 4 p.m. in the library.
Items Submitted for Publication - News items submitted for the Bulletin Board are restricted to five lines. Therefore it may be necessary to ‘edit’ items. If those submitting items wish to have more information included, the item will be published elsewhere in the edition. Also, news items that are of a commercial nature, including fund raisers for churches or organizations, must be published as paid advertisements.
