WEBSTER COUNTY, KY (11/28/12) – The following is your weekly update of events and activities in the Webster County area.
Clay Christmas Parade
The Annual Clay Christmas parade will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, December 7. First, second and third place cash prizes will be awarded for best floats. Santa will be in the gazebo following the parade to pass out treats. Parade line-up will be at the Clay City Park beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Democratic Women To Meet
The Webster County Democratic Women's Club will have their annual Christmas dinner and gift exchange Monday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Country Cupboard in Madisonville.
Winter Carnival
Providence Public Library will be hosting a Winter Carnival from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Community Center. There will be refreshments, games, crafts and story time. This event is free to the public.
Toys For Tots
The Cabinet for Family and Children Services office in Dixon is the only location that will accept names of families wishing to receive toys. Children up to age 13 can receive toys and they must live in Webster County. Contact their office at 639-5044. Anyone needing information about Toys for Tots or would like to hand deliver a donation should contact Keith Farrell at 635-3801.
